Privacy Policy

GameGhost (gameghost.gg) is operated by Wonder Interactive Inc. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you browse GameGhost and play games on it, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Questions go to support@gameghost.gg.

1. What we collect

• Account details. If you sign in: your email address (for magic-link sign-in), or the account identifier your sign-in provider (for example Steam) shares with us, plus the display name, handle, and avatar you set.
• Guest sessions. Visitors who do not sign in get an anonymous guest account so progress can be kept on this device and merged into an account later.
• Play activity. Which games you launch, how long you play, cloud saves, achievements, leaderboard scores, and the reviews, collections, wishlists, and community links you create.
• Social features. Friend requests, presence ("playing X"), parties, notifications, and messages you send in the Plaza. Plaza voice chat connects players directly to each other, so other participants can see your IP address.
• Feedback you send through the feedback form.
• Technical data. IP address, browser and device type, and request logs our hosting provider records to run and secure the service, and aggregate page analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies). When something on a page breaks one of our security rules, your browser reports which rule, the blocked web address (not the full link), and the page path.

2. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies to keep you signed in, to protect forms against cross-site request forgery, and to offer a way back to GameGhost after a game ends. Your browser's local storage keeps a copy of the catalog for offline use, the games you launched on this device ("Continue Playing"), and prompts you have dismissed. While we test two versions of the site against each other, we also set a random visitor ID (gg_vid, kept up to 400 days) and the version you were shown (gg_exp, removed when the test ends), so you keep seeing the same version and we can compare the versions in aggregate. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

3. How we use it

• To run your account, launch games, and keep your saves and progress.
• To provide social features you choose to use.
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
• To understand, in aggregate, which pages and games people use.

4. Who processes it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with services that run GameGhost for us:

• SimplyStream (also operated by Wonder Interactive Inc.) delivers games, and stores achievements, friends, and multiplayer data.
• Cloudflare hosts the site and sends sign-in email.
• Neon hosts our database.
• Sign-in providers you choose to use, such as Steam.
• Google Fonts serves the site's typeface, which means your browser requests it from Google.

Games are made by their developers. When a game opens on another website, that site's own privacy policy applies there.

5. Your choices

• See and revoke your signed-in sessions, and change your profile, on the Account page.
• Turn push notifications off in your browser at any time.
• Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account by emailing support@gameghost.gg.

6. Children

GameGhost is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above.
